Popular Citizen TV news anchor Victoria Rubadiri is set to leave Royal Media Services (RMS) after years of service to the station.
According to reports, Rubadiri who has served Citizen TV for the past six years is said to be leaving to join Larry Madowo at CNN.
The renown news anchor is said to be serving her notice and will host her final show over the weekend as she prepares to take on her new job.
Reports indicate that staff in Citizen celebrated her services by cutting a cake this past week and woll be seeing her last segment this weekend.
Rubadiri hosted several shows including Citizen Weekend on Saturdays, where she gave prominence to many issues especially those touching on social norms and culture.
Before joining Citizen TV, Victoria Rubadiri climbed through the ranks at Nation Media Group (NMG), hosting the NTV Weekend Edition alongside CNN’s Larry Madowo.
She also won the BBC World News Komla Dumor Award in 2020. This helped her to attend a training course with the BBC Academy and join the News team for three months.

Among her notable shows included ‘Wombs of Sorrow’ which highlighted the experiences of women who suffered from cervical cancer and featuring on Sunday Live alongside top journalist, Jeff Koinange.
