AFCON on DSTV: The Africa Cup Of Nations set to begin from January 13th to February 11th 2024 will not be broadcasted through DSTV, Multichoice has confirmed.
According to a statement released to the media by Multichoice, the owners of DSTV being Supersport have not acquired the rights to broadcast the month long tournament.
“Supersport channel will not be broadcasting the Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) scheduled for January 13th to February 11th 2024 because the channel has not secured the rights to broadcast the tournament,” read part of the statement.

However, according to Multichoice, the games will be available through their partner broadcaster stations on free to air channels but AFCON on DSTV will not be available.
However, this will not affect other sports events across various leagues for subscribers. The only Interruption will be AFCON that will not be aired through DSTV channel.

The 34th edition of the AFCON tournament starts on 13th Jan in Ivory Coast and will only be available on Free To Air channels as indicated by Multichoice.
This comes almost a week towards the start of the tournament with DSTV fans asked to look for alternatives due to their broadcaster’s failure to secure rights to showcase the games.
