President Ruto has revoked the appointment of former West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi Mogaka who previously had rejected the Ambassador Nominee job offer to Ghana.
According to State House report, the name of Kemosi was included in the gazette notice by mistake and therefore the President is revoking his name from the list of appointees.

President William Ruto through a statement in gazette number 5351 went ahead to revoke the gazette number No. 5162 of 2024 which includes Kemosi name and updated a new gazette number with an updated list.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 132 (2) (e) of the constitution, I, William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, appoints the following persons to be High Commissioners, Ambassadors, Permanent Representatives and Consuls-General in Kenya’s Foreign Missions. Gazette Notice No. 5162 of 2024 is revoked.”
This comes after Vincent Mogaka’s name was included in the names of appointed High Commissioners, Ambassadors, Permanent Representatives and Consuls-General who will serve in Kenya’s Foreign Missions causing uproar among kenyans.
Kemosi had written to the National Assembly Committee on Defence, Intelligence and Foreign Relations saying he would not appear for the approval hearing as he has declined the nomination by President William Ruto.
This (decision to decline nomination) has been occasioned by my personal and compelling family matters which after taking into consideration do not allow me to take up the position as the High Commissioner to Ghana.

Despite the current West Mugirango MP Stephen Mogaka apologising to President Ruto over the decline of the offer by his predecessor, the decision was sealed after Kemosi declined to appear before a vetting panel.
It now remains unclear who will be nominated to take his place as Ambassador to Accra, Ghana to take up the position declined by Vincent Mogaka Kemosi.
