The World Athletics has announced Faith Kipyegon as the winner of the 2023 World Female Athlete of the year awards adding to Faith Kipyegon wins in 2023.
Faith Kipyegon was a lady on a mission in 2023. After breaking the 1500m and 5000m world records in 2023, Kipyegon stormed to gold over both distances in the 2023 World Athletics Championships.
According to Athletics President, its an honour to see such talents in 2023 and with the achievements they have made, it’s only fair to recognise their huge efforts.

Faith Kipyegon is a Kenyan female athlete born in 10th January 1994. Kipyegon is a 2X Olympic Champion, 4X World Champion, 5X Diamond League Final Winner, 2X World Champion Silver Medalist, and one time Commonwealth Games Winner.
Other accolades to her name include 1X In Top 8 at World Championships, 2X World Cross Country champion, 1X IAAF World Relays winner, 1X World U20 champion and a 1X World Road Running Championships Bronze medallist.

Faith Kipyegon broke three world records within a period of less than two months, smashing the 1500m and 1500m world records in a span of seven days becoming the first woman in history to do a double in 1500m and 5000m in a world championships events.
