However, it is alleged that there is one suspect who allegedly hired and paid the assailants to kill Kizito Namanga. According to the mourners, the police are doing nothing to apprehend the perpetrators.
Reports indicate that the rowdy mourners headed towards the home of the suspect only to find a presence of over 20 police officers who were armed to protect the property of the suspect who allegedly had requested for protection.
The mourners who were not scared of the presence of the armed officers took them head on and overpowered them forcing them to run to safety following the commotion that had turned physical.
They then proceeded to raid the suspect’s house and burnt the home as a form of retaliation for the death of Kizito after the suspect was not found in the house at the time of the raid.
However, reports indicate that despite the officers firing a total 72 rounds to disperse the crowd, they were not moved as they were determined to complete their mission.
