Questions have been raised after seversl United Democratic Alliance (UDA) leaders were spotted dishing out Teachers Service Commission (TSC) employment letters.
According to reports, the practice is rampant with UDA leaders from Kisii region who walk around funerals and political gatherings carrying employment letters to give out to their supporters.

On Sunday, a scuffle was witnessed in Bomachoge Borabu Constituency during a fundraising event when a top UDA legislature started giving out employment letters from both the Teachers Service Commission and the Kenya Forestry Services.
Speaking about the scuffle, Kitutu Chache Member of Parliament Anthony Kibagendi said that the practice is unacceptable and he will table the discussion in parliament for further actions against the involved members.
“We are going to ask hard questions in Parliament about how some MPs can be walking around with employment letters for certain government departments.”
However, this is not the first time that leaders from the Kisii region have been seen or said to have dished employment letters for teachers.
Sometimes last year, while bragging how the region was benefiting from the UDA government, South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro said that he had given out 100 Permanent TSC Employment letters.
Revealing further, Sylvanus Osoro said that the letters in his possession were meant for the South Mugirango constituents, utterances that sparked emotions among kenyans.

Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has also been criticised over the same practice when a young man walked up to him in a political event, knelt before him begging him for a job.
After asking him if he was a teacher, the CS directed his aids to hand him an employment letter, something that stirred mixed reactions.
