A day after the tragic Muhoroni accident happened that claimed thirteen lives at the Nakuru-Muhoroni Highway, witnesses have revealed the driver’s blunder that led to the tragic accident.
Speaking to the media after the accident, witnesses have claimed that the accident was avoidable were it not for a Lorry driver’s blunder that led to the collision.
According to the witnesses, the driver of the lorry was speeding before he veered off the road before ramming into an oncoming 14-seater matatu en-route to Kisumu.

Further details reveal that the driver of the lorry lost control of the vehicle after attempting to dodge several potholes along the highway only for the truck to get into a head-on collision with the matatu.
“The lorry was from Londiani while the matatu was heading to Kisumu. The lorry was speeding before ramming the matatu. I then heard the Matatu driver say, ‘Why does this lorry’s driver want to kill us?’ only for me to see the lorry leaning on the matatu.”
What followed was screems and groaning inside the vehicle after the collision questioning, ‘Why is the driver of the lorry killing us yet we’re taking our children to school”.
Another witness who is a driver that was behind the lorry alleged that the driver might have been under the influence of drugs when the accident occurred considering how the vehicle was being driven prior to the Grisly Accident.
