That’s when his father, who is a long time friend to the Deputy Governor allegedly made an arrangement to bribe him so that he can ensure that his son’s application sailed through.
He broke down alleging that his family suffered immensely after completing the payment since his father, ostensibly sold business assets which was run by his wife in Ruai.
However, Mokaya claims that he failed to get the position that he paid Robert Monda, the Deputy Governor for. And this made him lose all his lifetime savings, with his family falling back to the shambles.
“My wife did not take it easy. At that time, she was expectant after twelve years of trying and she ended up suffering a miscarriage.”
However, Mokaya’s parents are said to be siding with the Deputy Governor despite their son going against him. Thus will appear in senate on Thursday as Deputy Governor’s witnesses.
