Sometimes last week, the Athi River Demolitions saga took the internet by storm as videos showed houses being demolished. This is after a Machakos court declared the land belongs to Portland Cement Company.
News reaching the News Projector desk is that Wiper Leaders are in the middle of all this. This is according MP Fabian Muli who made these sentiments.
The legislature has accused leaders within the Wiper party led by Kalonzo Musyoka to have grabbed the Portland land and sold it out to unsuspecting kenyans.
He claims that these people have been seen trying to convince locals to protect them when they know very well the land is occupied illegally. He claims they even never sent lawyers to Machakos court to help with the case or even appeal the rulling.
Muli also named other unclaimed land that the people within the Wiper party are planning to grab. This he said is a plan currently underway.
The Member of Parliament called upon Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka to clean his house and ensure that grabbing stops.
This comes after Ukambani Leaders Speak About The Ongoing Athi River Demolitions. Which the MP claims is pretense and the people responsible in selling the land are known.
East African Portland Cement issued a notice seeking to sell 907 Acres of land through regularisation. This they said priority will be given to those currently occupying the land. After 14 days, unclaimed portions will be offered to the general public on a “willing buyer willing seller basis”.
