The wife of the man who set himself on fire this week has been located to Kitale days after her husband set himself in fire at their home in Kitengela.
The wife Linet Achieng, is said to be in Kitale after Isinya Police boss Patrick Manyasi confirmed to the press that the wife was traced to Kitale by detectives after her man set himself on fire in Kitengela.
According to reports, the wife and her husband who is now deceased had gone to Kitale on Sunday together before the husband came back alone in their home in Chuna Estate, Kitengela on Wednesday.

Upon arrival to their home at 2 AM, he went to his bedroom with several kitchen knives where in the morning, he stabbed himself several times before calling his maid and telling her to leave the house if she did not want to die with him.
According to police report, when the house help left the house, the man went to the kitchen and lit two gas cylinders which exploded and blew up the house while locked himself inside.
Upon contacting the wife, she declined to respond to questions as to what could have triggered her husband to commit the act that has left residents and kenyans in shock.
Achieng also declined to reveal her exact location with police insisting that she was a person of interest and would be required to record a statement as soon as possible.

However, efforts to trace the house help remain futile as neighbours claimed she left after the police carried away the man’s body from Kitengela. The police officers have also not addressed the house help issue.
