Disadvantages of Government Auctions
Government entities keep auctioning vehicles that are no longer in use for the public to buy them. Buying is always in form of bidding and here the disadvantages of Government auctions and why you should avoid going for these vehicles;
All government entities are run by nepotic individuals to the core. They always have people willing to connect their friends and families to vehicles in good conditions. Or even buy the vehicles in relatively fairly good condition.
The ones released to the public are vehicles that you can use to mine spare parts from. Vehicles that mechanics buy for their sparepart bank. Therefore going for these auction will land you a raw deal and getting a vehicle that needs few adjustments to run is not easy.
Most of these cars are not in good condition. This means you’ll spend even more than the market value of a new unit trying to revive the vehicle. Therefore, financially, you’ll be making a wrong decision going for the cars.

Being a government entity where corruption is the order of the day, the auction is done within before a statement is released to the public. The “good cars” are sold before the auction or held back to be sold after the auction. This leaves the public with vehicles that will not work unless you dig deeper into your pocket.
Generally, the vehicles are second-hand. This means that everytime you’ll think repairs are done, the vehicle asks for another. And because it stalled for a reason, you’ll never reach the end of it. It might easily get you to the worst financial mistake you have ever made.
Duties and taxes to KRA is another challenge as you have to acquire the necessary permits to run the machine. This means that the tax you pay for it added to the repairs you’ll make will suck your finances.
The auction is in form of bidding. This means that the highest bidder wins. Once a vehicle has caught your attention, you’re not alone. This means that it’ll be a competition and you won’t win even if you win the auction, the house (government) will.
EDITOR’S OPINION:
Those vehicles contain spare parts that most are in good condition. Therefore, if you want to mine spare parts or replace, that’s the catch for you. But if its about reviving those vehicles and you are not ready to spend, let that idea die a natural death. That is not the type of stress you wanna invite into your life.
