Mining Cabinet Secretary Hassan Joho has sent a message to kenyans wishing bad luck and failure to Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in his quest to be the next Africa Union Chair.
Speaking during the groundbreaking ceremony of the Devki Iron Ore Pelletisation Plant in Taita Taveta County, Joho said that it is unpatriotic to wish Raila Odinga bad luck and for that reason, the government will hunt the perpetrators down
“How can a Kenyan who does not know anything post on social media that Raila Odinga must fall? Talking about AU. How unpatriotic can you be as Kenyans that even one of your own who has a chance to lead you’re saying they must fall? We will come for you, my friend.”

Joho who was also responding to kenyans on social media who threatened to expose him said he would not be intimidated to change his stance against Kenyans criticising the government through the internet.
According to Joho, he received several messages from Kenyans who sent him threats on Monday, December 2, to coerce him to change his opinion about internet users but has insisted that he won’t back down and will take action against them.
“Yesterday they came to me at night, they said they wanted to punish me and sent me Ksh1 each but I want to tell them that they should do the same today and even send me more money. This is the only country where someone takes to social media to negatively comment about their leaders and use negative images to predict their fate.”

Joho revealed that his response to the criticism was due to a recent meeting he attended in the United States where most of the questions directed to him were centred on sentiments expressed by Kenyans through social media.
