Azimio Coalition Principal and Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has come out to say he has the experience to revive the economy having done that before with Mwai Kibaki.
According to Kalonzo, he steered the growth of the economy considerably during Mwai Kibaki’s regime, after a slight downgrade by Moi during his term. Kalonzo noted that his role as Vice President steered the Kibakinomics.
Due to this, Kalonzo says that he is ready and using the experience he acquired from Kibaki on how to revive the economy, he can change things around for the country that is crumbling as it it now.

“I have heard that William Ruto argue that he wants to practice Kibaki-type economics. He forgets that I was Kibaki’s Deputy for five years. Who do you think was driving Kibakinomics? I was the Principal assistant to President Kibaki when the economy of this country grew substantially at about 7% of GDP.”
Kalonzo went ahead and criticised the Kenya Kwanza’s approach to lowering the cost of living saying that taxes will be the downfall of Kenya Kwanza government due to the heavy burden it imposes to kenyans.
“The taxes do not add up. The taxes are what will drive out President Ruto and Kenya Kwanza home if they do not listen. It’s time to lift the burden of taxes from already struggling kemyans.”
However, Kalonzo noted some of the things he will do if he is elected as the President of the Republic of Kenya and with the most important thing being doing away with the Housing Levy.
