A video of Slain MCA Paul Leshimpiro has emerged detailing his last request to President William Ruto before he was shot dead.
The Angata Nanyekie Member of County Assembly (MCA) who was shot dead by suspected bandits along Morijo-Baragoi Road in Samburu on Sunday morning appeared on the news on January 29th making a plea to President William Ruto.
On the video, Leshimpiro is heard telling the head of state to take decisive action against the bandits who have been wreaking havoc on families in the region.

“This morning we were trying to call the security personnel because there was an issue. A second person is dead today when we are burying another one. Mr President, you do not have to wait any further. You need to take an action.”
The plea came after bandits allegedly stormed the home of the former Agriculture Principal Secretary Richard Lesiyampe where several residents keep their livestock on the assumption that it is a much safer place.
“Do not suggest to us that you are less powerful than a bandit. Do not suggest to us that you are less armed than a bandit,” the MCA continued.
However, today morning, Leshimpiro was attacked by armed bandits who sprayed bullets to his car, killing him on the spot before fleeing. His driver escaped unhurt after the incident.
