A woman from the United States of America has hit the headlines after selling her property and divorcing her husband of thirty years after finding love in Kakamega.
Ruth Boyce and Peter Nyangai met in 2014 when she came to Africa to minister and after they met with Peter, she fell in love and decided to divorce her husband of thirty years.
“I fumbled around in America for a long time, wondering where I could go and what I should do. When I prayed, I could see the map of Africa but I couldn’t just parachute here.”
After praying and even consulting other preachers about it, she received a Facebook text from Peter Nangai In April 2017, after she talked to her pastor about it. She gave the Kakamega native a chance, knowing that God was leading her there.
Despite being a married woman and a prophetess with over 30 years of marriage, she strongly felt that these were divine revelations, and didn’t want to defy God’s message.
“It was very very difficult for me because I left my grandchildren, my family, my husband, everything I had behind. She managed to raise the air ticket for Africa.
She was forced to sell all her properties in America, raise money for the ticket, send it all to Peter before their rendezvous, and have some savings to start her off.

“I wasn’t worried, because God came to me and told me you need to sell everything that you have,”
Upon arriving in Nairobi, Nyangai had arranged for a whole team from his church to greet Boyce at the airport, a heartwarming gesture that instantly made her feel at home.
They then left for his rural home in Kakamega where she married Nyangai and the two have been living together ever since.
“God showed me where to go and who to connect with, and that is why am here and it has been six years now.” she concludes on Finding love in Kakamega.
