Kenyans have raised their voices against President William Ruto after the head of state appeared to raise alarm over the high youth unemployment rate in the country.
According to President William Ruto, Youth unemployment is an existential threat that requires concerted efforts to mitigate thus calling the Legislature and the Judiciary to work with the Executive in ensuring job creation becomes part of government policy.
Kenyans have faulted the President after saying that the Executive alone cannot achieve its ambitious plan of creating jobs through the Affordable Housing Programme, digital jobs, and export of labour.

“Time has come for Kenyans to have a conversation on the existential threat of unemployment in the country,” he said. “We cannot continue to pretend that we do not have a huge unemployment challenge in Kenya.”
Kenyans on social media have asked why the President is going around the country saying the obvious when he is at the helm and capable to provide solutions to the problems facing the youths and kenyans.
According to most Netizens, President William Ruto is on a campaign trail saying the obvious and making promises when he is already in power and capable of fulfilling what he was elected to do.
Kenyans have expressed disatisfaction in the head of state’s roads side declarations and launching programmes that are minor that should be launched by his ministers.

Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has faulted the President saying that he has neglected his duties and he is busy campaigning without working on kenyans.
“President William Ruto neglected his duties when he was the DP to President Uhuru Kenyatta. Today, he has neglected his duties as President and he is back on a campaign trail. Kama hayuko kwa ndege, ako kwa roof ya gari asking the same obvious questions; mnataka tupee vijana kazi?”
