A United States International University (USIU) male student was reportedly confirmed dead leaving behind a suicide note after he jumped from the 14th floor to his death in Kasarani on Wednesday.
According to reports, the student, who is a Tanzanian jumped off the 14th floor of a building he was in. At the time of his death, he was a second year student at the USIU campus in Nairobi, Kenya.
Further, according to the police officers who arrived at the place of incident and his colleagues claimed that the victim left a suicide note addressed to his parents before jumping off the building to his death.

It’s still unclear about the contents of the Suicide note at the time of writing this article but reports indicate that the student was staying alone and was withdrawn and mostly kept to himself prior to the suicide incident.
Immediately the incident was reported, Police visited the scene and moved the body to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations and also reporting to the parents of the victim for further directions including moving the body to Tanzania.
This came just moments after another person, a woman from Kirengero, Subukia, Nakuru County, whose body was found hanging on rafters of a house after a suspected suicide.
Damaris Njeri, 35 years had been missing prompting her husband to look for her before stumbling upon her body dangling from the rafter with no physical injuries. The motive and reason for the suicide also remain a mystery.

These adds to more cases of suicide cases that have hiked in recent months with Police Officers claiming that on average they handles two suicide cases daily with the government claiming that they have put measures in place to address the menace.
