Allies to Former President Uhuru Kenyatta have outlined requirements for Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua if he wants to be forgiven by the former President.
Speaking as Jubilee Secretary General, Jeremiah Kioni has criticised the Deputy President in his bid to ask forgiveness from Uhuru Kenyatta and given out irredirreducible minimums for forgiveness to happen.

According to Kioni, if the Deputy President is serious with his forgiveness bid, he should stop meddling in the affairs of the Former President’s party, Jubilee and refrain from sabotaging the party.
Kioni alleges that Gachagua is holding Jubilee party through sponsored sabotage. However, Kioni noted that some leaders working with Gachagua in sabotage plan had already submitted their apologies.
“If you really want us to believe that you are apologising, release his Jubilee Party. What are you doing at the party. Those who are in court, including Kanini Kega and Sabine Chege, have been seeking an apology from Uhuru.”
In addition, Kioni noted that for the reconciliation to happen, the Finance Bill 2024 should be rejected in totality due to its impunity towards kenyans and high taxes incorporated in the bill.
Failure to which, Kioni said that the opposition will start moving across the country from Friday, beginning with Nakuru, to engage the public and reject the controversial proposal.
“We will go to Nakuru to discuss many of the issues we discussed in Limuru, but also to address the issues of the Finance Bill. From there, we will be in every county.”
