The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party through UDA politicians has fired at Law Society of Kenya (LSK) after today’s demonstrations at the Supreme court and the streets of Nairobi condemning them of the action.
According to the various UDA politicians who spoke today, they claimed that the direction taken by the lawyers was unwise and even went ahead to pronounce that after they are done with the corrupt judges, LSK is next.
Rubbishing the LSK demonstrations, United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party Secretary General Cleophas Malala said that the opposition is using the Law Society of Kenya to fight the Kenya Kwanza administration.

According to the Secretary General, the presence of Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka at the LSK demonstrations is evident that the organisation is colluding with the opposition to frustrate the government.
“The Law Society of Kenya should exercise political impartiality and stop colluding with the opposition to undermine the government.”
However, Kalonzo Musyoka appeared at the LSK demonstrations as a lawyer due to organised protests against President William Ruto’s remarks against the Judiciary which is in no way related to the opposition per se.
Kiambu Senator Karungo wa Thang’wa has also hit back at LSK Demonstrations saying that when the government is done with corrupt judges, the corrupt lawyers are next in an effort to clean the judiciary.
Speaking during a rally in Kiambu County on Friday, the UDA senator wondered why lawyers were protesting against President William Ruto yet the Head of State had raised serious concerns that needed to be addressed.

“When we say that judges are corrupt, why would you protest as a lawyer? They have demonstrated in Nairobi and they blame Ruto. We want to say that after we are done with the judges, we are coming for the lawyers. We are fighting corruption in the Executive, Judiciary, Parliament and lawyers too.”
This adds tension to the fight between government and the judiciary after the government claiming that the Judiciary is being used to frustrate government projects due to back to back negative rullings that have stopped the implementation of various proppsals by the government claiming they are Unconstitutional.
