The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has finally broken their silence after embattled Secretary General Cleophas Malala’s family abduction claims on Tuesday went viral.
According to Kitutu Chache North MP and UDA party treasurer Japheth Nyakundi, the claims made by Cleophas Malala have been overstretched and not explained as they happened.
Report by the UDA party Treasurer, the UDA party was only seeking to reclaim the cars assigned to Malala when he was the party’s Secretary General which were being driven by the two family members at the time.

Further, the treasurer claimed that the party had to use the police officers to reclaim their cars since Malala had turned down requests to voluntarily hand in the vehicles on several occasions.
This comes after Malala claimed that his family- his 19-year-old brother-in-law and his son were abducted at gunpoint on Monday Night and tortured for six hours to reveal his whereabouts by unknown individuals.
“They were tortured for six hours to disclose my whereabouts or that of my wife and to show them the way to my residence in Kitengela. After failing to find me or my spouse at home they dumped the two along Thika Road.”
Additionally, the Party Treasurer has refuted claims of abduction and that the two of Malala’s family were not tortured or harrassed as earlier alleged by Malala and they were simply told “to leave the vehicles” to be returned to the party.
