Two more suspects have been arrested in connection to Crime Of Passion? Wife Of A Missing Taxi Driver Becomes A Person Of Interest. The two have confirmed that the wife was the mastermind of her husband’s disappearance and murder. She then pretended to file a missing person report after she got wind of her husband’s body discovery in Nyeri.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation, the two were arrested separately. Stanley Collins Muthika was arrested in Nyeri- Ruringu Village while Kennedy Murimi Kinyua was arrested Olekasasi – Ongata Rongai in Kajiado North.
With reliable intelligence, the DCI pin pointed their investigation to Collins Muthike in Nyeri county. His arrest and interrogation led the detectives to the second suspect who was arrested in Rongai.
In a shocking turn of events, a run on the profile of the suspects revealed that the second suspect, Kennedy Murimi was found to be a police officer. He is based at Akila Police Station in Lang’ata. However, he has been on interdiction after deserting the service. He is in the rank of a Constable and designated as a driver in the station.
Police officers have lately been involved in criminal activities after various Investigations found them at the center of crimes. The latest being a DCI officer who snatched a phone in Mombasa during the Mashujaa Day Celebration. Its unfortunate that the people we entrust with our security are the ones organising crime against innocent kenyans.
A further search conducted in his house saw the recovery of the deceased mobile phone and a torch which according to him they used to light their way to River Sagana where they disposed the body.
The deceased wife has been linked with the well orchestrated murder. Unexplained payments between the three and numerous conversations have been retrieved to act as evidence. Evans was picked from his house, driven around to different stops according to the car tracker and eventually killed.
The motive behind this act remains unknown as police are still ongoing with the investigations.
