Duane Davis, a man who has been arrested for the murder of Tupac Shakur in 1996 talked about it and incriminated himself thus leading to the arrest by the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to police, the involvement of the man to the murder is well known because of how he has always bragved about it. He spoke about the drive by shooting in his memoir in 2019.
According to Greg Kading, a former LAPD detective, Davis started talking about the murder and the police left him to incriminate himself as they monitored what they were doing to gather enough evidence to charge him. After they felt that he had said enough already, that’s when they made a move to arrest him.
According to Kading, the police and Davis had an agreement but he went outside the agreement that led to his arrest
“Back in 2009, when he confessed to our task force, he was under what was known as a proffer agreement. And that proffer agreement allows him to make incriminating statements with the confidence of knowing that those statements cannot then be turned around and used against him. But that condition only applies to his law enforcement interviews. So when he begins to go out and publicly boast, none of that is protected under that agreement. And that’s how he’s basically talked himself straight into jail.”
Greg claims that Tupac and Biggie’s murders were interconnected and according to officials, Biggie’s case remains officially unsolved and can be opened at any time.
According to sources, Davis went out to boast about the murder thus the deal he made with the police can’t protect him against anything he says out of the police room as he went out to boast how he committed the crime in the streets.
