Recent surge in storming in schools by parents has made TSC Transfer teachers from schools that were affected by the ongoing tendencies terming them as disgraceful.
According to reports, the commision has Transfered teachers from schools that were effected with the move last week. This saw parents storm various schools and publicly chased away school heads blaming them of poor results.
St Gabriel Isongo Secondary School in Kakamega county has seen the transfer of seventeen teachers by TSC after a section of parents and students attacked the school principal over the recently released Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results.

Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Secretary General Collins Oyuu strongly condemned the incident terming it shameful and said that the behaviour must come to a stop as it is a threat to teachers and school heads.
Proposing the TSC move, Kenya Union of Post-Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) National Chairperson Omboko Milemba urged TSC to address the matter by assuring teachers of their safety or transfer them to different schools,a move that has been since adopted by the commision.
Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu condemned the incident and issued a stern warning against parents attacking principals and teachers of dire consequences if caught.

“We wish to remind communities behind these regrettable attacks that learner achievement in examinations is the reflection of the overall input from all stakeholders, including parents, teachers, and candidates themselves.”
However, the Teacher’s Service Commission has said that it will continue to transfer teachers from schools that exhibit that behaviour because its posing as a security threat to them. This will ensure that the rising cases of parents storming in schools comes to a stop.
