Schools in Kisii region have once again recorded good performance making it to the Top schools in KCSE 2023 results that were released by Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu.
Ahead of the rest was Rigena Boys High School, a sub-county school that recorded a total of 17 As hitting a mean score of 9.59 with a total of 115 registered candidates who sat for the KCSE 2023 Examination.
Kisii school, the known giant in the Kisii region recorded a total of 24 candidates who scored A plain with 84 other students scoring an A minus grade. In addition, 113 scored with more scoring B pluses to give the school a mean score of 8.92.
Rodney Mokaya led in the institution with an A of 84 points. The institution had a total of 565 candidates who sat for the KCSE 2023 exam.

Nyabururu Girls High School in Kisii, the institution recorded a total of 9 A plains and 47 A minuses with most of other candidates falling in between B plus and C plus. According to school principal Joyce Orioki, only 80 of the total 702 that sat may miss direct entry to university.
Sironga Girls High school in Nyamira was also among the top schools where 7 candidates scored in A minus grades with several others scoring between B plus and C plus giving the institution a 89% pass with a positive mean score of 8.02 up from 7.6 recorded in last year’s exams.
Other schools in the region that make it to Top Schools in KCSE 2023 include Riokindo Boys where it registered 15 B pluses 177 Bs and 188 B minuses giving the school a mean score of 7.611.
Moi High School Gesusu, one candidate scored A minus and 13 others A minuses giving the school a mean of 7.09. Cardinal Otunga had also recorded 3 As with a final tally pending.
