Germany is using the Germany Opportunity Card Chancenkarte to source skilled workers from the Non-EU countries to help them settle the demand for jobs in their country.
The Germany opportunity card Chancenkart is a form of “greencard” but for Germany. They are vetting their applicants using a point system that requires you to have atleast 6 points to qualify. In addition, one must have the means to stay in the country as he/she looks for a job.

According to Hubertus Heil, the Federal Minister for Labour and Social Affairs, Germany is offering a helping hand and easier ways to work in Germany.
“In the international competition for bright minds and helping hands, we offer new and, above all, easier ways to work in Germany. Those who bring potential and can secure their own livelihood can then obtain a visa to look for work in Germany.”
Echoing the same sentiments, Nancy Faeser the Federal Minister of the Interior and Community said that they want to remove all the hurdles for skilled workers to move to Germany
“If people bring professional experience or personal potential with them, we will make it possible for them to gain further qualifications in Germany and gain a foothold in our labour market. We want skilled workers to be able to come to Germany quickly and get started. We want to remove bureaucratic hurdles.”
At the time of this article, 209 days are remaining till the opening of the Germany portal for the application of the Chancenkarte.
