One police officer has reportedly hurt his hand after the Teargas canister that he was holding exploded in his hands during the Finance Bill 2024 protests in Nairobi CBD.
According to reports, the police was holding a Teargas canister preparing to throw it to the crowd protesters but the canister detonated and exploded before he could throw it to disperse the crowds.
Even though the police are yet to release the statement over the same, the fingers of the police officer were spotted in the streets of Nairobi after the officer was rushed to hospital for medical treatment.

In addition, members of the press are also been said to have been harassed by Police Officers and most of them hurt in the process. The situation is said to getting ugly as time goes by.
This comes after kenyans planned anti-finance bill 2024 protests that are aimed at rejecting the finance bill due to the impunitive taxes proposed in the bill by Kenya Kwanza Government.
Police are said to be using water canons, teargas canisters and several arrests in a bid to control the protests that have brought businesses within Nairobi to a standstill.

MPs have however convened in parliament for the tabling of the Finance Bill 2024 by the Finance Committee Chairman Kuria Kimani for the Members of Parliament to discuss before the voting to be done on Thursday for approval or disapproval.
