Students from Kapsabet Boys High School who were traveling by bus are feared dead and others injured after the bus they were travelling in was involved in an accident.
According to reports, the accident happened at Patkawanin on Kabarnet – Marigat highway and pictures show the bus rolled as it veered off the road into a nearby ditch.
Through images seen by NewsProjector, the bus overturned and trapped students inside as rescue operation kicked off moments after the accident happened on Saturday afternoon.

The bus which according to reports had 62 students and staff on board by the time of accident is yet to be confirmed with the number of casualties and the exact number of the injured.
The County Police Commander Julius Kiragu says a team has been dispatched to the accident scene and is waiting to issue a proper brief as preliminary reports show that the students were in Baringo for an academic trip.
The exact number of casualties is yet to be confirmed even as investigations commence to establish the main cause of the accident.
The injured were however transferred to the Baringo County Referral Hospital for treatment and first aid for the injured.
Red Cross Society revealed that a rescue team had been sent to the scene to help in the evacuation process.

“A road traffic incident involving a school bus has been reported at Patkawanin along Marigat-Kabarnet Road in Baringo County. Our response team, alongside the County Ambulance crew, is currently at the scene.”
