Parents of a school in Uasin Gishu County are in a state of panick after reports emerged that their pupils who were sitting for this year’s Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) were sitting for fake exams
According to the Deputy County Commissioner, Moiben, they received a report from one parent of an unusual manner of National examinations at Silver Bells Academy prompting them to check out the allegations.
Duncan, the Deputy County Commissioner claims that the parent noted that the exams were starting their exams unusually late. After receiving the information, they found that the school was offering fake national examination to their 23 candidates.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the school, Silver Bells Academy has not been registered under the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) to offer National Exams and thus their 23 candidates are unregistered to sit for this year’s KPSEA exams.
To conceal their shortcomings, the school decided to give the 23 candidates fake examinations that has been photocopied locally in pretence that it was the KPSEA exams from the National Examinations Body.
Two directors of the school were immediately arrested following the discovery to aid in further investigations into the matter. The Kenya National Examinations Council and Ministry of Education were also notified to give way forward on fate of the 23 affected pupils.
This comes after another pupil at the Uasin Gishu primary School is not sitting for this year’s KPSEA examinations due to the school’s failure to register the pupil for the examination.

According to the parents of Wayne Abraham, the school did not notify them of any failure on their part and upon inquiry, they have been told by the school that the only option for the pupil is to repeat and will be sponsored by the school for the exams next year.
