Several kenyans are reported dead after Al-shabaab launched an attack on civilians in Garissa during good Friday, police confirm.
According to reports, the terror group executed the attack in Dhobley, a boarder town between kenya and somalia killing six kenyans on the spot.
The six kenyans died after Al-shabaab militia opened fire at them during the attack and have since been identified as businessmen originating from Meru. One injury was also recorded to be a somali resident in the area.

Confirming the incident, Liboi Deputy County Commissioner, Ali Manduku, informed Kenyans that the attack occurred in the early hours of the morning and appeared to stem from business rivalry
Manduku further explained that the group sought to assert its dominance within the border town through such violent means
The deceased hawkers, victims of the attack, are currently being prepared to be transported to Garissa town for further procedures.
However, the police commander was not able to explain how the six individuals managed to reach Dhobley, despite the border between Kenya and Somalia being officially closed since 2011.
However, NewsProjector established that residents from both Kenya and Somalia within the boarders of these nations persist in crossing the border, and engaging in business activities and interactions despite the closure of the boarder.
