Kitengela International School through their lawyer Danstan Omari has moved matters to court in a bid to stop the Form One Selection process.
The selection process was set to start today as directed by the Ministry of Education through the Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu. This is to finish the exercise before Christmas to allow parents ample time for preparation to take their children to Secondary school.
However, due to discrepancies witnessed in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results, parents and the Kitengela International management have filed a petition to block the process.
This comes after the parents, teachers and learners of the school stormed Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) offices in Nairobi. This they did on Sunday to make their voices heard on the errors committed in the release of the KCPE 2023 Results.

In addition, the Kitengela International School and Set Greenhill academy have sued the KNEC and Education CS Machogu for the just released KCPE 2023 Results. This they demand that they should give an explanation of what transpired and the cause of errors witnessed in the results.
The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education results released last week have been criticised for the evident errors. Some errors include missing marks in some Results, identical marks in candidates of particular schools and awarding of marks in subjects not sat for.
KNEC admitted the errors and said only 133 candidates have errors which have been since rectified. KNEC however defended the identical marks awarded in particular subjects saying its a possible occurrence in multiple choice exam. The form one selection process was set to begin today.
