Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced scheduled power interruptions in three counties. The interruptions will kick off from 9 AM on Wednesday till approximately 5 PM in the evening. Customers are advised to prepare accordingly.
The power interruptions are set to happen to pave way for repairs and correcting fault lines that have affected power supply in the affected areas. Kenya power aims to mantain quality supply of power across the country.
Affected Counties:
The counties that will be affected include counties from Nyanza regions which are: Migori County, Kisii County and Kisumu County. Various areas in these counties will be affected by the all day black-out that will happen from 9 AM.
Places to be affected Per County.
Migori County: Affected area will be Mamome, Bondo Nyironge areas.
Places include: Migori, Namba, Migori Cereals, Nyamome, Kababu, Sagero Sec, Nyailinga, Bondo Nyironge, Nyamilu, Magoto, Kadongo, Maembe Saba, Nyasoko, Piny Oyie, Giribe and other adjacent customers.
Kisii County: Affected area will be Nyamasibi, Morekemi.
Specific places include: Junction Hotel, Le Premier Hotel, CormerSimba Corp, Mash Park, Migori Junction and adjacent customers.
Kisumu County: affected areas will be Ombeyi, Katolo.
Specific places include: Katolo, Boya Bristle, Ps Nalo, Ombeyi, Masogo, Miwani factory, Ngere Kagoro, Kasongo, Boya Petrol, parts of Awasi town and adjacent customers.
Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has urged customers from affected counties and areas to use alternative power in the meantime. The scheduled Power Interruptions will run for the better part of the day but will be restored in the evening.
