President William Ruto’s Cabinet Secretary has revoked the appointment four government officials and channelled their Re-Appointment in other Ministries effective immediately.
According to reports, Aden Duale, the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry has revoked the appointment of four members of the Kenya Water Towers Agency.
Via gazette notice no.14595, Duale revoked the appointment of Rose Ombaki, Adan Omar Enow, Florence Auma Olouch, Michael Waititu Maina, and Elisha Busienei effective immediately.

“The Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change, and Forestry revokes the appointment of Rose Ombaki, Adan Omar Enow, Florence Auma Olouch, Michael Waititu Maina, Elisha Busienei as members of the Kenya Water Towers Agency Board.”
Despite failure to mention the reason for the dismissal of the four from the Kenya Water Towers Agency, the four were re-appointed to other state cooperations within the same gazette notice that dismissed them also for a period of three years.
Elisha Busienei via gazette notice no.14581 was appointed by President Ruto to be the chairperson of the Board of Directors of the School Equipment Production Unit for a period of three years, with effect from Friday.
Michael Waitutu Maina was appointed by Treasury CS John Mbadi via gazette notice no.14585 as a member of the Nairobi International Financial Centre Authority to serve up to May 18, 2026.
Rose Ombaki was appointed by CS for Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy Margaret Ndung’u via gazette notice no.14586 to be a member of the Board of the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC). She is set to serve until June 8, 2026.
Adam Omar Enow was appointed by Education CS Julius Migos Ogamba to be a member of the Council of the North Eastern National Polytechnic. He is set to serve until June 15, 2026.

Florence Aumu was appointed by Treasury CS John Mbadi as a member of the Board of Directors of Consolidated Bank Limited. She is set to serve until June 8, 2026.
