No soner had he risen to speak than the mourners started chanting anti-ruto slogans forcing the cabinet secretary to halt his speech and excuse himself over the hostility of the audience.
However, before Ruto’s Cabinet Secretary was cut short and booed, he was telling mourners that Wanjigi’s place in Kenya’s history cannot be erased but mourners couldn’t take it in.
“I have come here because the history of the nation cannot be erased. In the history of this country, the place of Maina Wanjigi is cast in stone.”
This comes as kenyans continue creating hostile environment for Kenya Kwanza leaders especially Members of Parliament who voted in favour of the controversial Finance Bill 2024.
Most of the members hace however apologised for the move especially after the withdrawal of the Finance Bill by President William Ruto and the surge of protests against the bill across the country.
However, despite all the apologises, kenyans have continued to give Kenya Kwanza leaders an hostile reception and even refusing to listen to them on various platforms including churches.
