The funeral of former Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) official William Ohonde at Ligega Village in Ugenya Constituency was turned into a battle field as Ruto ally was forced to flee the funeral.
Ugenya MP, David Ochieng was on Saturday chased out after rowdy youths attempted to attack and manhandle him at the funeral. The MP was affiliated with ODM before pledging his loyalty to President William Ruto.
The youth who attended the funeral heckled him and shouted him down over his political allegiances, a fate which has befallen all ODM rebels who have defied opposition leader Raila Odinga.

During the commotion and confrontations, property was destroyed at the funeral and some people were injured in the process as the MP was whisked away by his aides.
