Roads heading into and out of State House in Nairobi are said to have been sealed off by a multi-security agencies team ahead of planned Gen Z demos in Nairobi.
According to reports, high level security has been deploed around State House after Gen Z Protesters promised demos in a bid to occupy State House in a planned Thursday demos.

This comes a day after President William Ruto finally announced the withdrawal of the Finance Bill 2024 after kenyans expressed their dissatisfaction with it. However, Gen Z have insisted that they are tired of President William Ruto’s government.
The Occupy State House mission was to be the climax of a seven-day protest to express Gen Zs anger and dissatisfaction with the current government, hoping to express a rally of no-confidence with the Kenya Kwanza government.
However, Elite security teams have sealed off all roads leading to and connecting to State House, with motorists being diverted to use alternative routes in abid to avoid any mistakes.
Heavily armed officers have also been strategically placed near State House with no one allowed to even approach any of the entrances. Military security equipment has also been deployed near State House to barricade the roads near State House.
However, the plan by the protesters to march to State House has been met with mixed opinion with fears of loss of lives being voiced to dissuade the youth from such an act billed as treasonous.

It’s still unclear whether protesters will still march to State House or they will hold a peaceful march at the Nairobi CBD in honour of the killed protesters during Tuesday’s protests after President Ruto’s Bill withdrawal.
