Azimio Coalition Principal and ODM Party leader has come out to explain the possible reason as to why Ruto fell out with his East African counterparts ie Suluhu, Kagame and Museveni.
This comes after various diplomatic tension between Kenya and other EA countries in the recent past that saw the Presidents miss out on the Jamhuri Day celebrations on 12th.
According to Odinga, the tension is attributed to the corruption exhibited by Kenya Kwanza leadership and the diplomatic utterances that have been made by leaders in government causing tension.

“We must tell Kenyans that our neighbours are not to blame for this negative development in our relationship. At the centre of the continuing damage of our relationship in EAC is the unbridled greed and corruption as practised by the Ruto government and the arrogance and foul mouth that has come with it.”
This comes after the Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen claimed that unlike Kenya which is a democratic state, Rwanda is an Autocracy and therefore couldn’t be compared. This sparked a debate online with kenyans claiming state officials should be taught a thing or two about diplomacy.
Last week, there rose diplomatic tension between kenya and DRC that saw the withdrawal of ambassadors of respective countries. This came after Kenya gave the DRC Rebels a platform to form coalitions and issue statements against the DRC government in Nairobi, something that didn’t sit right with the DRC government.

However, President William Ruto has said that the absence of EA leaders on Jamhuri day shouldn’t be a point of concern as they have always missed on these celebrations.
Uganda is also on a loose thread with kenya after ending the oil trade deal to cut down costs. This is after the kenya as a middleman who used to supply Uganda with oil increased their price therefore brewing business tension.
Odinga said that Kenya Kwanza’s method of administration is warrying and a threat to Kenya at a global stage.

“As a party, we are concerned and disturbed by the direction Kenya Kwanza regime is taking on the global stage. Our country will pay a steep price for this Kenya Kwanza recklessness.” Concluded Odinga on why Ruto fell out with the leaders.
