Ruto Rejected Ndung’u’s Resignation: Reports from reliable sources to local media indicate that Treasury Cabinet Secretary Njuguna Ndung’u submitted a resignation letter to President William Ruto late last year.
However, the President rejected his resignation due to reasons best known to President William Ruto. However, revealed reports indicate that it’s not only Ndung’u that submitted the letter.
Several Cabinet Secretaries who are unsatisfied with the way President Ruto is running the country have tried to submletters which according to reports, the head of state has rejected.

According to Ndung’u, he complained about some of the decisions of the head of state, including taxation which he claims he is not included in key decisions that the President is making that involve his ministry.
“The minister feels sidelined on important issues that pertain the country’s economy. Even though he is sidelined, all the blame stops at his doorstep and he felt he needed to resign over the same.”
Several other unsatisfied Cabinet Secretaries that were unnamed felt the same as most of them are avoiding the blame game due to the direction that the country is taking in terms of the economy.
According to economic experts, the President has been forced to implement some of his decisions without consulting the Cabinet Secretaries due to the tough directives he has been given by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Up to now, the government has received a total of Ksh. 704 Billion from the International Monetary Fund and the latest ammount coming on January 17th with a total of Ksh. 150 Billion disbursed to the government.
