Shocking reports hit the Police service forcing the deployment of the paramilitary unit of the General Service Unit, Recce Squad after a sniper was allegedly shooting at officers in Nairobi CBD.
Reports indicate that the sniper was atop of the Kenya Commercial Bank building in Nairobi CBD and was shooting down police officers before he was pinpointed by police officers.

However, the special unit of the GSU was summoned to apprehend a sniper in a quick operation that was conducted after barricading all exits of the building before storming in
The sniper was not able to escape after the closure of all exits and it’s alleged that he was arrested by the special unit. The RECCE Squad is said to have conducted the operation within twenty minutes.
Media sources at the scene also suggested that the sniper could have been a police officer. However, the police have yet to issue an update or confirmation of the bizarre incident.
The RECCE Squad is one of the highly trained paramilitary units in the force that specialises in tactical approach in taking down terrorists and dangerous targets.
This has been one of today’s highlights of the protests that have been marred by looting and break ins of various businesses within the Nairobi CBD and other parts that have experienced protests.

Police are yet to issue a statement after the unfortunate incident with reports indicating that one police officer was fatally shot over the incident that happened in the mid morning
