Former Prime Minister and Azimio La Umoja Coalition Party Leader Raila Odinga has issued his end year speech and outlined the Azimio’s 2024 plan.
According to Raila, the current regime has failed in planning every sector on how to improve management and release of funds to ensure that every sector sustains itself from pending bills.
The former PM pointed out the education sector saying that Kenya’s education system is currently in a mess, largely occasioned by the government’s failure to avail money for the free and compulsory basic education, leaving schools with huge pending bills.

Raila says that the Azimio’s 2024 plan involves tasking MPs to push in parliament for these sectors. He also said that they are planning to go to court to force the Ministry of Education to release full capitation to primary and secondary schools so that they can start the year smoothly.
Mr. Odinga added that he plans to push the government to absorb junior secondary school teachers who have served as interns for one year as per the agreement. Thr interns are however planning a strike starting tomorrow, January 1st.
Azimio’s 2024 plan also includes pressing for an anti-tax campaign to pursue budget cuts that will allow Kenyans to retain as much of their salaries as possible. This will go on as they continue to oppose the taxation measures contained in the Finance Act 2023.
Raila also said that the opposition is organizing “to liberate ourselves from oppression and exploitation. We shall exercise our sovereign power of the people to stop death and suffering of the people and restore our dignity and well-being.”
“We shall work with all people of goodwill to restore hope and faith in our nation. They will keep adding taxes and that is what is hurting our economy. The Finance Act must be repealed. If they don’t we will go back to demonstrating,” Raila said.

Raila Odinga is an opportunist who will always eye for an oppotunity to gain mileage. He is a blames man, he blamed the european union for saying the elections were fair and credible, he blamed the courts of the HOT AIR comment, he blamed ruto for takng the cost of unga and fuel up but while it was raising in uhuru’s time all was ok, when resources were watsted on the null and void BBI, all was ok. when the nys 2 scandal happened in uhuru’s time it was ok, when the funds in aid of citezens during covid was munched all was ok.
Actually let people follow Raila at their on peril before they cry of police brutality and in the lighting of candles after fatalities.
