Quickmart Supermarket has responded after a letter started doing rounds yesterday claiming it was from the supermarket chain. Quickmart Supermarket response has caused a stir online.
The letter that warned Cabinet Secretaries from using their promotional offers to indicate reduction in Unga prices and generally the cost of living has been termed fake by the Supermarket official pages.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Supermarket mantained that the letter did not come from the offices and kenyans should be aware of the misinformation being spread online.

“Beware of misinformation! The above message is false and should be ignored.”
This comes after the Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi toured several supermarkets trying to prove that there was reduction of commodity prices using various brands.
The Agriculture CS pointed out reduction on Unga prices saying that the President’s initiatives are finally working to the right direction. He added that all the unga brands will trade below Ksh. 100 by February 2024.
“Depending on the brand, from over Ksh200 to Ksh130. We have seen Soko selling at Ksh130, there is Pika, and another brand called Tuimarike. There is no Kenyan who does not enjoy his meal right now, and I think this is the best Christmas gift the Ruto administration is giving Kenyans.”
The Quickmart Supermarket response has sent government mercenaries into the drawing board on how to handle the expose by supermarkets.
