President William Ruto will make a stop over and land in the Haiti nation where Kenyan Police Officers are restoring order and fighting gangs.
According to reports, President Ruto is expected to land and make a formal diplomatic visit to Haiti on Saturday, September 21 before proceeding to the United States for the United Nations General Assembly.
In his visit to Haiti, the Head of State will hold a meeting with members of the Presidential Council and later go on the ground to visit the 400 Kenyan troops who are part of the Multinational Security Support Mission deployed in the Caribbean nation.

President Ruto’s visit to Haiti will be his first visit to the Caribbean country months after Kenya joined other nations to lead a multi national team to fight the notorious Haiti Gangs that have terrorised the nation.
His visit will be marked with a great show of progress in the fight against the gangs that had captured key state institutions including the Haiti capital, which the Kenyan troops managed to drive out of the capital.
This comes days after Head of the Peacekeepers, Godfrey Otunge announced major progress where he revealed that the Kenyan Police, jointly with Haitian officers undertook security patrols within the streets of Delmas last week, during which several gang members were arrested.

“Some of the key areas that the joint operations have been able to recapture and maintain dominance patrols include various streets in Delmas. The joint operations incorporated different formed HNP Units that saw the key areas pacified with several gangs members fleeing in consternation.”
