President William Ruto has revealed how Kenya is planning to handle the safety of kenyan police officers who will be deployed to Haiti.
According to the Head of State, the safety of kenya police officers in Haiti is of great importance and theh have put in place measures to ensure that officers are adequately prepared for the mission.
This was revealed after holding phone calls with three leaders including Haiti’s outgoing PM, Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau and Prime Minister of The Bahamas, Philip Davis

“I outlined our plan to deploy a reconnaissance mission as soon as a viable administration is in place, ensuring that our security personnel are adequately prepared and informed to respond effectively to the evolving situation.”
Speaking through a statement on Thursday, President Ruto said that Kenya will conduct a reconnaissance mission to the Caribbean nation before sending troops for the deployment that is being pushed by various countries.
A reconnaissance mission means that Kenya will send spies to Haiti to gather intelligence about the Haiti Gangs before sending the kenyan police to Haiti.
The information that will be collected by the technical spies in this mission will then inform strategies to be used by the main team that includes 1000 police officers during their operations.
According to Ruto, the team will be deployed once an interim leadership is installed in Haiti given that Prime Minister Ariel Henry is set to leave office.

This comes after more coubtries including the US and Canada pumped more funds to Kenya and any other force willing to join in the Haiti operation to ensure that the officers are deployed as soon as possible.
President Ruto has promised that he will continue tonsupport the Caribbean nation to ensure that stability resumes amid deployment challenges.
