President William Ruto finally landed in the troubled Haiti nation with a message where hundreds of kenyan police officers are on a mission to restore peace and order against dangerous Haiti Gangs.
In a stop over enroute to the United States for the 79th General United Nations Assembly, President Ruto landed in the Caribbean nation where he spoke with the kenyan police officers who have managed to make tremendous progress in their mission.
According to reports, the President gave the police officers a message of hope and led them in a word of prayer after leading them on what seemed like a praise and worship session with the officers.

In videos that have since gone viral, the President is seen interacting with the soldiers, asking them on their challenges so as to get first hand information on the progress of the mission, a session that lasted for quite sometime.
“On the suggestion to transit this into a fully U.N. Peacekeeping mission, we have absolutely no problem with it if that is the direction the U.N. security council wants to take,”the Head of State announced on the request to have the peace keeping mission to be fully UN mission.
This comes after Kenyan Police Commander to Haiti Godfrey Otunge met with Florida Deputy Commander of the Army National Guard Brigadier General William Temple and other military dignitaries where he highlighted, among other issues, the need for better infrastructure.

The kenyan police asked President William Ruto to also provide more equipments to enable them to push the mission to greater levels. “Our colleagues in the Recce received advanced tactical gear but we are yet to receive it. Therefore, I ask you to intervene for us through your office because it is making it hard for us to do the ground clearance.”
