President William Ruto has on Sunday attended a church service in Uasin Gishu county, a move that has shocked Kenyans. This comes after the President jetted out of the country to Congo Brazzaville on Saturday. He went to attend the summit of the Three Basins Climate Change Conference in Congo.
Kenyans are shocked as to when the President came back into the country and when he made his trip to Uasin Gishu. There has been concerns on the trips made by President William Ruto in recent months.
This comes after the President pledged to cut his travel budget by Ksh 500 Million to support learners who are abled differently.
Since he took over office, Ruto has made a total of 37 foreign trips. This has shown a busy diary since he took office with an intent of building more international relations.
Kenyans have however reacted differently with each giving his opinion about the trips. Others in favor of them while others are criticising calling them overspending.
In other news, President Ruto said that kenya is working to ensure that Africans don’t need visas to travel within Africa.
“We are now moving in the direction of eliminating visas among ourselves. By the end of the year, no African will be required to have a Visa to come to Kenya”, the President said in a statement.
Concerned Kenyans have however urged the President to take some time off his busy schedule. This they claim is for the good of his health. The President also announced to cut down travel expenses for government officials in a bid to channel the funds in other useful expenses.
It remains unclear how the Presidential diary is stuffed for this week.
