Police Officers have surrounded and sealed off Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza’s residence in a suspected active investigations against the family’s involvement in a Meru Blogger’s Murder.
According to reports, the police officers arrived in Kawira Mwangaza’s residence around 1 PM on Saturday in both police vehicles and subarus proceeding to seal the area surrounding the residence with hefty security.
The forensics team then proceeded to start conducting examinations around the area that the police had sealed off. It’s however unclear the motive behind the seal off but links to Meru blogger take the upper possibility.
However, the detectives denied journalists access who were asked to stay at least 200 metres from the scene to allow the forensics expert to conduct their investigations and collect evidence without interference.
Its however unclear whether Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza was at her residence at the time of the operation that caught the family unaware.
This comes after five suspects among them Kawira Mwangaza’s Son and her brother with three others were arrested in connection with Sniper’s murder and were held for 21 days to allow police to conduct investigations.
The suspects are believed to have lured Sniper promising that they would arrange a meeting with the County Leader, ostensibly to bury the hatchet between the two who had their political differences with Sniper’s criticism taking center stage for the discussion.

However, the Meru blogger vanished into thin air only to be found brutally murdered with his tongue cut out and his body doused in acid. This has caused a national uproar with the Mwangaza family taking the heat as the persons of interest in the brutal murder.
However, we wait for official communication from the officers in charge to ascertain the intention and motive of today’s operation in Mwangaza’s residence.
