Police in Homabay county have confirmed that two chidren have died as a result of a fire incident in a vilage in Suba, Homa Bay County.
According to reports, the two boys in Magunga’s Samba sub-location in Homabay who died in the fire incident were aged six and three respectively at the time of death.
Reports by the police indicate that both parents left their children sleeping after lunch and locked them in their single house, which is also used as a kitchen, and proceeded to till their land.

The house which is said to be grass thatched caught fire in their absence and in the house were the two boys who were burnt beyond recognition as police report.
The parents came hours hlater after tilling their land only to find the house in fire with the boys trapped inside but by the time of arrival, there was not much they could do as the damage had already been done.
By the time of this article, the cause of the fire had not yet been established but police officers from the region started off their investigation s to establish the cause of the fire that led to the death of the two young boys.
However, the two bodies of the boys were moved to the morgue pending autopsy to look more into what transpired before the fire to determine if there was any foul play.

This comes barely a week after three people were separately killed in two fire incidents reported in Nairobi on Wednesday evening.
Police are still yet to release the official report on the two incidents that happened in Lungalunga area’s Jamaica village and Umoja Two.
