Police acting on a tip of intelligence in Narok county have arrested a man suspected to be growing bhang in his Kurongurik maize farm in Narok.
According to reports, the 30-year old man was intercropping the plant with maize in his farm, a crop that is illegal in the country before the long arm of the law caught up with him today.
Confirming the reports, Phillip Ngetich, the assistant chief of Ilkerin sub-location, the suspect, Robert Langat, was nabbed after members of the public raised concerns about strangers visiting his home at odd hours.

“We visited his farm and found that he had planted the prohibited plant in between the maize plantation and also hidden some along the flower garden, we are still investigating to find out some of his potential customers who are in this trade.”
Police confirm to have nabbed the planted weed in the farm also said they have confiscated several rolls of bhang during the raid that had already been harvested and packaged by the suspect.
However, detectives say that they are yet to determine the street value of the marijuana that was in possession of the suspect before the suspect is taken to court.
Police Officers have commended the members of the public for raising the alarm on the illegal activity that led to the apprehending of the suspect.

Police are still holding the suspect at the Emurua Dikirr police station in Narok county waiting for arraignment.
