A back up sample of the Juventus Star, Paul Pogba has come out positive. This is after the first sample was positive and a confirmation test was done. This will likely put his career on a balance as he faces ban from all football activities
According to sources, Juventus are yet to make a decision on the future of the star because turning positive for Testerone could lead to a long time ban.
The Ex Manchester United star has had a rough time since leaving Manchester for Juventus. His form has been on a decline and has been mostly affecred by injuries.
This findings could lead to a 4-year ban that can make Juventus think of terminating the contract. After testing positive during the first check up, Pogba’s agent Rafael said “We are waiting for the counter analysis and until then we can’t say anythin. The certain thing is that Paul Pogba never wanted to break the rules”
Back in September, Juventus released a statement which read in part, “Juventus Football Club announces that today, September 11, 2023, the footballer Paul Labile Pogba received a precautionary suspension order from the National Anti-Doping Tribunal following the results of tests carried out on August 20, 2023”
Following today’s back up sample outcome, the future of the midfielder remains unclear as Juventus reserves the right for the next steps to be taken. And if the doping was done deliberately, the ban could be doubled and that could bring turbulence to the career of the 30 year old. With the tough rules in anti doping, the star will be sidelined from all football activities until he serves his ban which could see him come back to the pitch at 35 years. We await the statement from the club and the player on the way forward after the outcome of the results
