East African Community Cabinet Secretary Peninah Malonza has become the latest Cabinet Secretary to be heckled while defending President William Ruto.
Malonza was making her speech in Kitui Central during the burial of a former radio presenter when she started defending President Ruto and the government over the high cost of living and other government policies that will turn around the economy.
However, the Cabinet Secretary was met with an hostile crowd that couldn’t hear any of it. The crowed booed throughout her speech as she tried to put her points across.

“The cost of living is currently high and the President knows about it and that is why he is trying hard, he has even travelled to Europe, and he has looked for funds. The good thing is that our development partners have advanced the money to us, which will alleviate the situation because we found empty coffers.”
This didn’t sit well with her constituents who murmured that the government has failed them. Residents kept on throwing words back at Peninah Malonza who kept on defending even the trips done by the President.
Malonza becomes the latest Cabinet Secretary to be heckled at while defending the government. Energy Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir found a hard time making a speech in Bomet after his address was mwt with hostile crowd.
Under the same breath, Kipchumba Murkomen also while attending a tournament, the crowd started chanting Ruto Must go, something Murkomen denied links with the President. According to Murkomen, they were heckling a match official for an unfair rulling.

Kenyans have in the recent past grown impatient with the government with some taking to social media to express their frustrations. However, the President and the government at large insists that they are trying to bring down the cost of living.
