Controversial preacher Paul Mackenzie and his co-accused persons in the Shakahola massacre case arrived at the High Court in Mombasa today to know the fate of their bond applications.
However, shock gripped the court when some of the co accused with Paul Mackenzie could not even sit because of being too weak out of hunger.
Upon inquiry, it’s believed that Mackenzie and his co-accused have been on a three day long hunger strike that led to their emaciated shape due to hunger.

The Good News International Ministries members were unable to stand in the dock as videos showed the members lying down with others asleep in a bad shape.
This forced the High Court Judge Alex Ithuku who is in charge of the case where Mackenzie and the co-accused persons are applying for the bond to instruct them to remain at the court holding area due to their situation.
However, he added that the accused persons will therefore be represented by their lawyer in the bond hearing case after spending months in custody.
This comes after the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) argued on court that the accused persons should not be granted bond which DPP says that they are potential flight risk.
Mackenzie is charged alongside 38 others in the Shakahola massacre where they are accused of running a terrorist organisation.
